For this investigation, I wanted to explore the power of human presence. My investigative question that guided my work was, "What is the impact of human presence?". My primary focus was to explore the effects people have on their environment, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. The use of black and white with high contrast and deep shadows aimed to show the eeriness of once highly trafficked areas being absent of human life. In my investigation, my photos aim to show that human presence has one of the greatest impacts on the culture that we create, and how we define and find meaning in the world around us.
